A former cabaret singer is preparing to release two new singles.
Rachael Bennett, 27 from Brentwood, has been working on a debut single and a charity song to give a little back to British troops stationed in Afghanistan.
Rachael said: “I have a great admiration for what they do.
“The song gives a lot of hope and strength to help someone carry on when they are going through a really tough time.”
Originally from Lancashire, Rachael moved to London in the hopes of pursuing dreams of a singing career, releasing her first album titled “Angel of Destiny”.
Her dreams were stalled, though, when the record company she was attached to was liquidated. Rachael is now experiencing better times and is set to release her debut single “Speak Up, Sing out.”.
She is also hoping to bring a bit of British pride to troops stationally internationally with her charity single “Solider, Soldier”.
The single depicts her own life issues mirrored with the troubles and isolated nature of being a soldier sent away from home.
She hopes to be able to tour between British and US military bases, performing her charity single to troops.
She said: “It would be incredible to perform to the troops.
“The connection would be quite moving, knowing what they go through each day.”
