Romford Raiders have announced the signing of 25-year-old Canadian Shaun Miller for the 2024-25 National League season.
Miller, who hails from Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia, is the club's second NBT forward for the new campaign, following player-coach Adam Laishram.
He joins the Raiders having ended last season playing in the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) for the Cincinnati Cyclones, where he recorded four assists in 15 appearances.
Prior to that, Miller had played in USports for four seasons at Dalhousie University, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and scored 65 points (19 goals, 46 assists) in 70 appearances.
Miller's early junior career was spent with local team Cole Harbour Major Midgets in the Nova Scotia league, before he stepped up to play in the major Quebec Maritime Hockey League (QMJHL).
He spent five seasons playing at that level, for Blainville-Boisbriand Armada, Cape Breton Screaming Eagles, and the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, and totalling 59 goals and 107 assists for 166 points in 287 league and play-off appearances.
"I'm thrilled that I’ll be joining the Romford Raiders for the upcoming season," said Miller.
"This is an exciting opportunity, and I can’t wait to contribute to the team’s success both on and off the ice.
"Moving to Romford marks a new chapter for me, both professionally and personally. I’m eager to immerse myself in the local community and culture.
"I’m committed to giving my all to the Raiders, and I’m confident that together, we can achieve great things.
"Thank you to the Romford Raiders organization for this incredible opportunity. I’m looking forward to hitting the ice and getting started.
"See you soon, Romford!"
