Dagenham & Redbridge boss Ben Strevens felt his side produced 'by far the worst performance of the season' in their 3-1 home defeat at Boreham Wood.
Inih Effiong fired Daggers in front at Victoria Road, having netted their injury-time winner against Woking at the weekend.
But Billy Sass-Davies levelled before the break and Lee Ndlovu put Wood ahead just three minutes into the second half.
Erico Sousa added a third on 68 minutes to condemn Daggers to a sixth defeat in their last 10 outings.
And Strevens told the club website: "By far the worst performance of the season. With and without the ball.
"I don't want to take anything away from Boreham Wood because I think they played really well.
"All over the pitch was better than us. I don't want to be rude and take anything from Boreham Wood.
"But talking as a Dagenham & Redbridge manager, it's probably the worst I've seen us play this year and we've had some bad moments.
"That was a million miles away from what I expect from any person on the pitch.
"Els [Justham] was good in goal and rightly got man of the match, but no-one else, myself included, staff, players on the pitch, coming on, starting, worst it's been all season."
Effiong produced a calm finish past Nathan Ashmore on 20 minutes and sent another effort over, before Tyrone Marsh and former Daggers captain Matt Robinson hit the woodwork for the visitors.
And Strevens admitted defeat was hardly a surprise given what he say from his players.
"Even when we scored, I said to the guys on the bench we didn't deserve it, we was nowhere near it at that point," he added.
"Even making changes at half-time didn't make it better.
"Intensity in our running, duels, was way down. We're lucky now we have GPS devices, we've had them a few months.
"My biggest concern is we wasn't running with any intensity, or physicality to get in and around them.
"And when we had the ball we were very poor with it, kept giving it away.
"I knew Saturday was a big game in terms of physical output, I know we gave them a tough week leading into Saturday.
"But I don't want that to be an excuse because we've had the same recovery time as Boreham Wood.
"I'm not sure I'll show the players, but I certainly need to watch it back myself."
