Hutton maintained their fine form in Thurlow Nunn League Division One South with success at Barkingside on Saturday.
Andrew Webster claimed the only goal of the game at Cricklefields to leave Hutton second on goal difference behind Dunmow Town, who have a game in hand.
The top two meet at Dunmow on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Clapton Community came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Burnham Ramblers in a dramatic finish at the Old Spotted Dog ground.
The visitors broke the deadlock slightly against the run of play in the second half and added a stunning second from long range.
But their goalkeeper was then sent off after slipping in the act of kicking the ball and picking it up and debutant Taylan Gul fired home from an indirect free-kick inside the box to halve the deficit with only a few minutes left.
And James Goldring fired home a last-gasp equaliser to make it five draws in a row for Clapton Community, who host May & Baker on Tuesday.
Tower Hamlets were hit for six at Cannons Wood, where Jake Haskins saw red.

But Hackney Wick bowed out after a 5-3 loss at Hilltop Reserves, where substitute Darren Esuka netted a brace after Victory Akam had struck early on.
Hackney Wick return to league action as they visit Cannons Wood on Wednesday.
