England’s Lionesses progressed to the quarter-final of the FIFA Women’s World Cup on Monday (August 7) but who will they be up against?
The Lionesses finished their match knowing they were through to the next stage but who they will play was down to the result of the match between Colombia and Jamaica who played today (August 8).
The two teams were level at half-time with no goals scored (0-0) but Colombia went on to win the match 1-0.

Who will England play in the quarter-final of the Women’s World Cup?
After beating Nigeria on penalties in Monday’s match, England celebrated getting through to the quarter-final.
This match will see them play Colombia on Saturday, August 12 at 11.30am.
The two teams will play at Stadium Australia in Sydney and there will be three other quarter-final matches taking place that weekend.

When are the quarter-finals taking place?
- Spain v Netherlands – Friday, August 11
- Japan v Sweden – Friday, August 11
Australia will play in a quarter-final match on Saturday, August 12 but the team they will play has not yet been decided.
England will play Colombia on Saturday, August 12.
