Everyone Active Raiders have announced the return of experienced duo Sean Barry and Ashley Jackson for the 2023-24 season.
Blueliner Barry will be wearing the gold and blue jersey for a seventh season, having signed originally as injury cover last season but eventually made 43 appearances.
He helped Sean Easton's side to a sixth-place finish in the National League, scoring 10 points (two goals, eight assists) to take his tally to exactly 100 (16 goals, 84 assists) in 255 career appearances for the club.
Barry picked up an assist on the Matt Gomercic goal that started the Raiders comeback in their thrilling play-off win at Peterborough, earning them a trip to the finals weekend at Coventry Skydome.
But after upsetting defending champions Sheffield in their last-four tie, they were edged out by league champions Leeds in the final.
"I can’t wait to be back with the boys in September especially after the success we had getting to the play-off finals," said Barry.
"I don’t think many people believed we would get to Coventry weekend, let alone the final.
"Sean has added to the squad which will improve us and hopefully come the end of the season we will be in the running for some silverware."
Jackson will also be back on the ice for Raiders after missing the end of the 2022-23 campaign due to injury.
The former Great Britain international and three-time Olympian won gold with England at the 2009 European Championships in Amsterdam and scored 137 goals in 250 international matches in a 15-year career.
The 35-year-old scored 27 points (12 goals, 15 assists) in 29 appearances for Raiders last season alongside his field hockey commitments, moving to 54 points (24 goals, 30 assists) in 52 career appearances for the club, having earlier tallied 125 (61 goals, 64 assists) points in 77 games for Invicta Dynamos.
He added: "I'm just looking forward to getting back with the boys and contributing however I can, both in the room and on the ice."
*Romford Buccaneers have announced their first two signings for the new National League Division One South season.
Captain Tom Wilson was revealed as the first returnee for Jason Buckman's squad, quickly followed by goalie Sonny Phillips.
