Zack Milton says he is hoping to help Everyone Active Raiders secure some silverware after agreeing to join the ranks at Romford's Sapphire Ice & Leisure Centre.

Raiders have added the 22-year-old to their roster after the temporary closure of National League rivals Basingstoke Bison, for whom he scored 64 points (25 goals, 39 assists) in 58 appearances last season.

Milton, whose brother Danny played in goal for the Division One South Raiders, had tallied 70 points (28 goals, 42 assists) in 62 appearances during the 2021-22 campaign and will line up alongside former captain George Norcliffe for Sean Easton's side.

“I’ve played for Sean before through juniors at South East and have always liked his coaching style," he said.

"Seeing the team Sean has built in Romford I’m excited to be a part of it and definitely looking to bring some silverware back this season for the fans of the gold and blue.”

Milton played the majority of his junior career at Slough before moving to Bracknell at the age of 16 and represented Great Britain U20s at the World Championships in 20202, scoring a goal and winning a silver medal.

He also made eight appearances for Elite League outfit Guildford Flames as part of a two-way deal and is expected to boost the Raiders attacking options.

"Milton, at only 21, is a young player that everyone wants in their team," said head coach Easton, having led Raiders to a sixth-place finish during the 2022-23 regular season and play-off final at Coventry.

"Milts puts up great points and will add to our offensive line-up with his controlled play.

“Milts will add an offensive punch, an eye for a pass and calmness on the puck to make our powerplay better.”

The arrival of Milton leaves Raiders with only a handful of spots to fill on their bench.

Goalies Ethan James and Brad Windebank have agreed returns, along with defencemen Tom Relf, Jack Cooper, Callum Wells, Elliott Dewey and Marco Pascale, as well as forwards Aaron Connolly, Jake Sylvester, Brandon Ayliffe, Jacob Ranson, Mikey Power, Tjay Anderson and Owen Dell (two-way with Invicta).
