Havering's men continued their strong start to the season with a 5-2 win over Plashet at Campion.
They began a tense encounter well, with Alex Lee finishing off a free-flowing phase of play to open the scoring.
And it was 2-0 soon after as Adam Willett deflected the ball past the sprawling visiting keeper after a shot by Harry Andrews.
The hosts continued to control a feisty contest but were pegged back when a short corner flew through Andy Gaut's legs.
And a good chance to restore the two-goal cushion went begging when Lee drilled the ball towards the back post but Sam Green could not convert.
Havering eventually got a third after a short interchange between Luke Joslin and Andy Greenlagh, who fired the ball into Lee to pass to the unmarked Andrews to lift the ball into an open net.
But Plashet converted another short corner before the break to leave it all to play for in the second half.
Andrews, Green and Liam Appleyard all had chances after the restart, before Lee grabbed his second to make it 4-2, creating an extra yard of space to arrow the ball into the bottom right corner.
And Havering capped a brilliant display when veteran Paul Dover’s quick thinking at a free hit caught the Plashet defenders napping and he sauntered into the D to rifle past the keeper.
After a fifth successive win, Havering face a local derby at Brentwood this weekend.
The seconds were on the wrong end of a 5-2 scoreline at Chelmsford fourths, who made good use of their 15-man squad.
Chelmsford edged a tight first half and took the lead when Havering veteran Mick Hosier turned a cross into his own goal.
A stirring half-time team talk from James Walker roused Havering and they hit back soon after the break through Greg Carolan.
But Chelmsford regained the lead after a bit of good fortune, when a powerful ball into the D was inadvertently deflected home by a forward player.
Havering levelled once more when man of the match Billy Wilson won the ball in his own half, surged past a number of defenders and set up Walker to finish.
But the hosts capitalised as Havering tired to score three times in the last 20 minutes to seal the points.
The thirds hosted Old Southendian, giving debuts to club stalwart Blair Murphy, Huxley True, Roger Hiett and newcomer Will Bailey.
But after seeing a penalty flick saved, they conceded twice in quick succession against the run of play, before Leo Yang's attack on the left led to a penalty corner, which Richard Cast converted.
Southendian grew into the match in the second half and their persistent efforts paid off as they sealed a 3-1 win.
Havering's women were hit for six by Harleston Magpies on another tough day.
Sue Harwood and Catherine Johnson created the first chance, before a defensive error led to Magpies taking the lead.
A second visiting goal came from a long corner and Johnson, Emily Gilkes-Tarsey and Harwood were denied by the keeper before Harwood halved the deficit.
Magpies scored twice more after the restart, before Gilkes-Tarsey pounced on a loose ball from Bethan Isherwood's cross to score.
And the visitors added a fifth from a penalty corner, followed by a sixth from a long corner as Emma Sharp was denied at the other end.
