Gemma Collins promised she would watch Panesar at Hornchurch, but has yet to visit Harrow Lodge Park
Monty Panesar has urged his ‘good friend’ Gemma Collins to keep her promise and come watch his Essex League Premier Division club Hornchurch some time soon.
The duo will appear on Celebrity MasterChef 2018 later this year and before the start of the season, the spinner spoke to The Only Way Is Essex (TOWIE) star about coming to Harrow Lodge Park to see a match.
Collins even tweeted about watching Hornchurch back in March, but is yet to go through with her promise.
Ahead of Saturday’s match at home to Ilford, Panesar called on the Romford-born reality TV star to make the short trip to Harrow Lodge Park.
“I’m enjoying my time at Hornchurch and a few of the boys know I am good friends with Gemma Collins and they want her to come to a game,” said the former England spin bowler.
“She did promise she would come to a game, but she hasn’t yet so everyone at Hornchurch would love for her to pop down maybe with her nephews because they are cricket buddies as well.
“It would be nice if she could and everyone would look forward to seeing her, so hopefully if she reads this she will come along.
“We are at home to Ilford on Saturday, so it would be great if she could come. I know everyone at the club would love it.”
Hornchurch will be looking to achieve a fourth Premier Division win of the season at home to their second-placed rivals this weekend.
