Popular British broadcaster and biologist Sir David Attenborough is set to star in a new wildlife series on Sky.
The new programme will explore the extraordinary sounds made by animals around the globe and the importance of this in their lives.
Cutting-edge recording equipment and 360-degree Dolby Atmos Soundscapes will be used to create an immersive series.
The show will demonstrate how baby caiman communicate with one another from within their eggs and how lions and hyenas battle in the dead of night using sound.
The programme will also explore how strange fish baffled local residents with their eerie hum and how some birds remarkably mimic sound.
Of the new show, Director of documentaries and factual at Sky, Poppy Dixon said: “We also could not be more delighted to announce our ground-breaking natural history series, Secret World Of Sound With David Attenborough, set to premiere next year.”
This comes after other shows like House Of Kardashian and Louis Theroux's Tell Them You Love Me were announced by Sky earlier this week.
When is David Attenborough's Secret World of Sound coming to Sky?
The latest Attenborough show is a three-part series and is set for release on Sky Documentaries in spring 2024.
