Eight celebrity co-hosts have been revealed to star alongside Alexander Armstrong on the BBC gameshow Pointless this year. 

The public broadcaster has confirmed a new stream of famous faces that will be sharing the stage with Armstong after writer and presenter Richard Osmon stood down in 2022 after nearly 13 years on the programme.

Since Osman left the show, the BBC One gameshow has played host to some of the biggest names in showbiz at the moment from comedian Ed Gamble to Coronation Street actress Sally Lindsay.

Speaking about the announcement to the BBC, Pointless host Alexander Armstrong said: “It has been a really fun process sharing the hosting with so many different guests.

"They have all brought their own styles and senses of humour, keeping the show fresh and exciting every time and I can’t wait to welcome more celebrity hosts to the show this year.”

The eight incoming hosts include the likes of TV and radio presenter Vick Hope and Great British Menu star Andi Oliver.

The star-studded line up also features former Mash Report host and comic Nish Kumar, broadcaster and ex-MP Gyles Brandreth and star of How To Please A Woman, Bridget Jones and Miranda, Sally Phillips.

The 2023 cast will be non-stop laughs with comedians Lucy Porter, Ria Lina and Rose Matafeo completing the line up.
