A man has been stabbed at an Asda supermarket in Stepney Green.
The Asda at the Anchor Retail Park in Stepney Green is cordoned off by police today (November 5), with the entrance blocked.
Ambulances were called at 11.46am and the first paramedics arrived at the scene in three minutes.
A man was treated at the scene and was then taken to a major trauma centre.
One picture shows the supermarket taped up as police stand outside.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 11.46am today (5 November) to reports of a stabbing at Anchor Rail Park, Mile End Road.
“We sent resources, including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response officer.
“Our first paramedics arrived on scene in three minutes.
“We treated a man at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre.”
Both the Metropolitan Police and Asda have been approached for comment.
