A discount store in Romford town centre is set for a refurbishment under new proposals.
Savers, in Market Place, has plans for a new shopfront and entrance doors, including fresh sash work and tiles.
The application - submitted to Havering Council by rpa:vision on behalf of AS Watson Group - details the demolition work that will need to happen first, such as removing the entrance floor and existing sash work and entrance doors.
Also included in the plans are external security shutters and new stall risers, which sit under the shop window.
Planning documents show that Savers will keep its existing aluminium sign at the top of the shopfront, as well as the projecting sign to the side.
The first floor appears to be unaffected by the plans.

The discount store currently has a concrete floor with no tiles in the entry way, but this will be replaced with grey, non-slip tiling.
New safety and security measures included in the plans are the electrically-operated shutters and double doors glazed with laminated safety glass and fitted with high-security deadlocks.
Havering Council are expected to make a decision on the plans by December 23, however the application says they hope to start building works this month.
