Public toilets in a state of "disrepair" at a park in Manor Park could be replaced with a new cafe.

A planning application has been submitted to Newham Council seeking approval for the public loos in Little Ilford Park to be turned into the Little Ilford Cafeteria.

According to documents accompanying the proposal, the toilets have been closed to the public "for many years due to vandalism and being in a state of disrepair".

The metal roof in place on the bathroom block will remain in place, with timber cladding added to the external walls, and upgraded windows and doors fitted.
