A person has died after being hit by a train at Romford station.
A casualty on the tracks was reported at the station in South Street shortly before 8.30am today (November 4).
Police and London Ambulance Service crews attended, however, the person was pronounced dead shortly after.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
Major disruption is expected between Stratford and Shenfield until 11am as the incident is dealt with.
London Overground services between Romford and Upminster have also been disrupted.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “We were called to Romford station shortly before 8.30am today, Monday 4 November, following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Officers attended along with paramedics but sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
