The M25 has reopened after being closed for several hours due to a “serious” motorcycle crash.
All traffic was stopped in both directions after a crash on the clockwise carriageway just after 2.30pm yesterday (October 30).
Both the clockwise and anticlockwise carriageways were closed with the air ambulance also attending the scene.
In an update just before 12am, National Highways confirmed on X (formally known as Twitter) that all lanes have reopened.
We have contacted Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service for further details on the incident.
A spokesperson for Kent Police initially said: “Motorists are advised that the anticlockwise (Essex-bound) carriageway of the A282, near Dartford is now open to traffic. The clockwise carriageway remains closed with vehicles leaving at the first exit after crossing the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge.
“Kent Police was called at 2.32pm on Wednesday 30 October 2024, to a serious collision involving a motorcycle on the clockwise carriageway.
“Officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service remain at the scene and motorists should plan their journeys accordingly.”
