Plans to bring new facilities to a care home in Collier Row are among planning applications received by Havering Council this week. 

A total of 27 planning proposals were submitted to the council between October 15 and October 21. 

Of these, we have shone a spotlight on the most interesting applications to have featured on the weekly list. 

Decisions have not yet been made on the future of the applications.

Plans have been put forward seeking permission to have a training room, laundry room and store room built at Lodge Care Home retirement village. 

The care home facility is believed to support up to 94 individuals (P1268.24). 

A former police station could undergo some drastic changes as the council is considering a proposal to turn it into a pizza restaurant and takeaway. 

The ex-police station in Harold Hill could have a new shopfront and signage put in, with outside seating for customers. 

The grounds are currently unused, with only a flat above the premises which would remain unaffected by the application (P1217.24).

A planning application submitted to the council is seeking approval to demolish the existing structure to make way for the new home with associated off-road parking (P1374.24).

An application has been brought forward for a property near Gidea Park in Heath Park Road to widen the "existing vehicular access". 

According to the application details, the widening of the road by 4.5 metres comes as part of a plan to build two three-bed bungalows with off-street parking.

Other planning applications received by Havering Council include home extensions and conversions.
