East London commuters are facing five days of disruption across c2c lines this coming week as a result of planned engineering works.

A notice of the diversions on the network, which connects London to Essex, has alerted passengers to changes to their travel from Monday to Thursday (October 28 to October 31) and on Sunday (November 3).

The Ockendon, Basildon, and Rainham lines will be affected by the works.

As of Monday, planned engineering will take place between Barking and Grays via Ockendon from 10.45pm.

Services will be diverted via an alternative route between these stations and will not be calling at Upminster, Ockendon or Chafford Hundred stations.

A rail replacement bus service will be offered to commuters between Upminster and Grays via Ockendon and Chafford Hundred.

Alternatively, ticket acceptance will be available on District line services between Barking and Upminster.

Works between Barking and Pitsea via Laindon will also start from 10.45pm on Monday through to Thursday.

Services will be diverted between these stations along an alternative route.

Upminster, West Horndon, Laindon and Basildon stations will not be served during this time.

A rail replacement service will be made available to passengers between Upminster and Pitsea via Laindon, with ticket acceptance on District line services between Barking and Upminster.

On November 3, engineering work has been scheduled between Liverpool Street and Barking, and between Pitsea and Shoeburyness.

As the service between Liverpool Street and Barking will be closed a diversion will be run to Fenchurch Street, missing Stratford but calling at West Ham.

Ticket acceptance will be in place on the Jubilee line between Stratford and West Ham.

Rail replacement will operate between Pitsea and Shoeburyness during the line closure.

The Pitsea and Shoeburyness works will also impact the Ockendon line, which will have its own rail replacement service in place.

On the same Sunday, engineering work between Barking and Pitsea via Grays will stop services running on the Rainham Line.

Due to the cancelled services, rail replacement will run between Upminster, Rainham, Purfleet and Grays.

Passengers for Dagenham Dock will have their tickets accepted on the EL2 and 287 TfL bus services.
