A McDonald's in Harold Hill is set to reopen in November after a refurbishment.

The Straight Road branch has been closed since October 2 while it undergoes a redesign.

The branch is expected to reopen on November 14, a McDonald's spokesperson has confirmed.

It will feature a new restaurant layout combined with the "latest technology" to create a more "seamless and enjoyable" experience for Harold Hill customers.

This revamp is part of the chain's Convenience of the Future programme - which redesigns restaurants with a focus on "greater speed, efficiency and choice" for customers when ordering their food.

A spokesperson for McDonald's said: "The restaurant is undergoing a Convenience of the Future redesign.

"With consumers increasingly looking for greater speed, efficiency and choice when ordering their food, McDonald’s ambitious Convenience of the Future restaurant revamp programme will combine a new restaurant layout with the latest technology to create a more seamless and enjoyable experience for customers."

Until the Straight Road restaurant reopens, customers can get their McDonald's fix at the Gallows Corner branch or at the Romford town centre restaurants, such as those in The Liberty and The Brewery shopping centres.
