A former police station building could be turned into a pizza restaurant under new plans.
Atelier-SM Architects has submitted a planning application on behalf of Spreadland to open a new pizza restaurant and takeaway on the corner of Straight Road and Faringdon Avenue, Harold Hill.
Previously used as a community policing centre, the building at 84-86 Straight Road currently lies empty.
The first floor flat above will be unaffected by the plans.
Proposals include an external seating area with shrubs bordering it, an internal dining and serving area, and back of house facilities such as a pizza fridge, chip fryer and chicken and burger prep area.
Existing toilet facilities in the former police station will be repositioned for customer use under the plans.
The application also details a proposed new shopfront, with double glazed windows and external shutters.

The pizza restaurant would back onto the Costcutter at the rear of the building, with this shop retained under the proposals.
If the planning application is approved by Havering Council, works to revamp the policing centre would be carried out between January and April 2025.
The council is expected to make a decision on the plans by December 10.
