A man was rushed to hospital after a crash in the early morning.
London Road has been shut off today for over three hours after a crash at the junction of Spring Gardens, next to Crowlands Primary School, at 5.44am today (October 22).
Crews at the scene treated a man, before taking him to a London major trauma centre as a priority.
A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said: “We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews and a paramedic in a fast response car.
The road has been blocked both ways between Lonsdale Avenue and Spring Gardens, causing congestion to a mile and a half at either side.
As a result, the 86 bus has also been diverted from the scene.
The Metropolitan Police has been approached for comment.
