A man is in hospital following an incident on the tracks at a railway station in Newham. 

British Transport Police was called to Stratford station at around 11.10pm on October 16 after receiving reports of welfare concerns for a person on the tracks.

London Ambulance Service was alerted to the incident nearly 30 minutes later and was dispatched. 

A critical care paramedic and incident response officer sent to the scene treated a man before rushing him to hospital.

Vehicles from the Metropolitan Police Service were filmed outside the station whilst the incident was dealt with.

An ambulance spokesperson said: “We were called at 11.39pm yesterday (Wednesday 16 October) to reports of a medical incident in Stratford station, Station Street, E15.

“We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, a critical care paramedic and an incident response officer.

“Our crews treated a man at the scene, before taking him to hospital, as a priority.”
