Five new warehouses could be built in Rainham if plans are approved.
Scaffolding company Atrium Access has submitted a planning application to Havering Council for five new warehouses in New Road.
Each of the two-storey warehouses would stand at nearly 25 feet tall, with office space at first-floor level.
The proposals include the demolition of current storage structures on the site, but three warehouses at the back of the site would be kept, as well as existing office space that faces the street.
Eight new car parking spaces and a loading bay facing the warehouses are also proposed .
The planning documents, prepared by PB Planning Consultancy on behalf of Atrium Access, reveal that the five uniform warehouses will have pitched roofs and face an internal courtyard.

Atrium Access argues that height of the planned warehouses is "acceptable" given that there is a large warehouse on the adjoining site.
It adds that the proposed development will "significantly improve the appearance of the site", as it will remove the existing scaffolding storage structures.
If approved, the proposals could cost up to £2 million, with building works starting in December 2024 and finishing in March 2025.
Havering Council is expected to make a decision by November 29.
