Two multi-bed family dwellings have been submitted for approval which may help the council with its housing targets. 

Havering Council has received 23 applications for a variety of developments in the borough.

We have summed up the most notable applications and included them for ease below.

One proposal (P1289.24) is for a new single-storey four-bed detached self build home with associated parking and amenity space.

The proposed building is next to Grade II-listed Blue Boar Hall, in Orange Tree Hill, Havering-atte-Bower, Romford.

Over in Pettits Lane in Romford, the application (P1241.24) seeks permission to demolish the existing building and build a two storey five bedroom detached dwelling with off street parking and bin or cycle storage.

A previous application (P0581.23) for a three-storey dwelling with a basement was refused on grounds of design, bulk, mass and too close to the boundary site.

The existing building was last used as a health care premises by the NHS but is now "surplus to requirements and in very poor condition".

In the design and access statement Form Architecture says the proposal, close to Romford town centre, "will provide a high quality family dwelling to help the council meet its housing delivery targets".

Tesco Vehicle Maintenance Unit, Consul Avenue,  Rainham, hope to install a 2.4m high perimeter fence in its application (P1285.24).

In Corbets Tey Road Upminster, the applicant (P1253.24) seeks a change of use of a vacant residential flat into a floor that will provide additional seating to the restaurant Roots downstairs. 

In Maybank Avenue, Hornchurch, the plan ( P1205.24) is to convert the existing garage into a habitable room including new windows to front and rear elevations.

In Alan Gardens, Romford the applicant (P1273.24) seeks to change of use from single dwelling into an assisted living property for up to three children aged between 11 and 17.

Any comments must be received within three weeks of October 1.
