PureGym has opened its latest branch in Hornchurch - and the Recorder has been given a look inside.
The new gym, which sits in High Street near Costcutter and Prezzo, opened its doors last Friday (September 27).
PureGym Hornchurch staff cut the ribbon at midday, giving out free goodie bags and PureGym ice cream to new members.
The Hornchurch branch is the second PureGym facility in Havering, offering members 24/7 access to a wide range of equipment, including free weights, fixed resistance, and cardio machines.
Photos from inside show treadmills facing out onto the street, other cardio equipment like bikes and stair climber machines, and a free weights section - with lots of dumbbells and barbells.
In the changing area, there are also lockers and dedicated shower cubicles.
Like other PureGym branches, it will be open 24 hours and offer no contract memberships.

Certified personal trainers will be available to support gym-goers, and a free initial exercise induction will be provided for those who need it.
A spokesperson for PureGym said: "We opened our first gym in London in 2011 and ever since have maintained a commitment to provide as many people as possible across the capital with access to affordable, flexible fitness."
The spokesperson added that they are "delighted" to be bringing a 6,000 sq ft gym to Hornchurch with "state-of-the-art" facilities.
