A police helicopter helped track down a driver who made off on foot following a car chase in Harold Hill.
The Metropolitan Police said its officers engaged in a pursuit of a suspect vehicle at around 6.17pm on Sunday (September 22) around Harold Hill.
The driver of the vehicle being chased by police abandoned the car in Redcar Road before fleeing the scene on foot.

A social media user took to Facebook to report seeing "loads of police cars" in the street.
The National Police Air Service with its distinctive black and yellow helicopter were called to assist with the search.
They were able to locate the driver of the vehicle, the Met said, who was then arrested by officers on the ground on suspicion of driving offences.
