Two people have been taken to hospital following a crash on a main road near Brentwood.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police were called shortly before 7.15 am this morning (September 24) with reports of a crash on the A12 near Brentwood.
Paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service were also dispatched in response to the report.
At the scene, two cars were discovered to have crashed near Brook Street, with two people in need of medical attention.
They were taken to Queens Hospital in Romford by ambulance.

The crash caused a partial blocking and affected traffic on the A12 Brentwood Bypass heading southbound between junction 12 of the A1023 and junction 28 of the M25.
Essex Police has asked anyone in possession of dash cam, CCTV or other footage of the crash to contact them quoting incident 197 of September 24.
