A cyclist involved in a serious crash in Pilgrims Hatch is continuing to fight for his life in hospital. 

Essex Police have issued a condition update for the man who sustained life-threatening injuries in Lincolns Lane after coming off his bike at around 5pm on September 18

An appeal was previously launched on the day of the incident to help identify and alert family members. 

He is described as bald and in his 40s to 50s. At the time, he was wearing a high-visibility jacket, cycling on a green and black Boardman racing bike.

The crash victim remains in hospital nearly a week after coming off his bike, which police believe is linked to fly-tipping in the road.

CCTV enquiries are underway and a new appeal has been launched to seek witnesses to the fly-tipping.
