Offices in Romford's town centre could be turned into an adult gaming centre. 

A plan for the development was one of many applications received by Havering Council between September 10 and 16. 

The council will review the plans before making any final decisions. 

The offices in South Street could be be given a drastic makeover if plans to change them into an adult gaming centre on the ground floor are approved.

A barber shop in Elm Park could soon be converted into a new cafe. 

The proposal seeks approval to change a barbers at 1 Station Parade into a cafe with "external seating, retractable awning and alterations to the shop front" (P1123.24). 

It is not the first application the council has received in relation to the proposal, with a former submission of the plans being made between June 4 and 10.

An application in Hornchurch has put forward plans to demolish a home to make way for two new  detached ones in Herbert Road, with new boundaries and access (P1182.24). 

In Romford, 138 new affordable housing units could be introduced to the area. 

The proposed site is the land bound by Chippenham Road, Kings Lynn Drive, and Dartfield, which would be redeveloped and four residential blocks built upon it. 

If approved, the redevelopment would also include landscaping works and car and cycle parking (P1150.24). 

A grade-II listed pub in Romford's Market Place could be given a fresh lick of paint.

In Upminster, garages could be demolished to make room for a new home in St Mary's Lane (P1187.24). 

Also regarding St Mary's Lane is another application seeking approval to convert the first and second floor of 189 St Mary's Lane into two residential flats. 

The application details plans to extend the rear of the first floor and rear dormer (P1222.24).
