A takeaway chain could be coming to Hornchurch town centre.
Pepe's Peri Peri may be opening a new franchise in High Street after an application for its branded shop signage was submitted to Havering Council.
The chicken shop chain has franchises across the UK, including one in South Street, Romford.
The application concerns numbers 182-184 High Street, and is seeking permission to erect illuminated shop signage to the exterior of the retail space.
NASA Design Studio Ltd has been named in the application form, which accompanies proposed plans for the appearance of the shopfront.
In line with other franchises, the intended signs would feature the company's red and yellow colour scheme and chicken mascot.

If approved, there will also be a hanging circular sign that will protrude from the exterior wall of the shop so it can be seen from along the high street.
The council is due to make its decision on the application by October 28.
