A barber shop in Romford Market could soon be turned into new housing.

A plan for the development was one of various applications submitted to Havering Council between September 3 and September 9.

The plans will be reviewed by the council before any final decisions are made.

In Rainham, there are plans to convert a home in Spencer Road into a residential care home for four children between the ages of 10 and 17 (P1215.24).

In Ingrebourne Road, one applicant has asked to build a two-bedroom terraced home attached to an existing home in the street (P0915.24).

A 5G mast could be built at the junction of Manor Avenue and Brentwood Road, Gidea Park, if approved by the council (M0006.24).

A barber shop at 24A Market Place in Romford could be turned into new housing (J0025.24).

Under current plans, one studio flat and another flat with one bedroom would be created within the existing footprint of the two-storey building.

In Hornchurch, seven applicants have asked to add an extension to their properties.

These are in – Wakerfield Close (P1197.24), Fanshawe Crescent (P1201.24), Southdown Road (Y0208.24), Ardleigh Green Road (P1186.24), Mariam Gardens (P1210.24), The Avenue (P1166.24), and Dymoke Road (P1091.24).
