Police arrested 19 people in one day along the M25 and A12 in Essex, including six arrests on suspicion of immigration offences.
This 24-hour crackdown was carried out on September 6, by officers from Essex Police's Roads Policing Unit, Operational Support Group, and their dog unit.
They monitored the behaviour of drivers and automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) camera results to detect any illegal or unsafe driving.
Officers arrested 19 people in total, including nine people on suspicion of drink or drug driving and six people on suspicion of immigration offences.
Other illegal behaviour among those arrested included taking a vehicle without consent, driving without a licence, and possessing drugs.
Alongside these arrests, police also seized 13 vehicles without proper insurance and issued 71 Traffic Offence Reports.
These reports could lead to the drivers taking a diversionary course, paying a fixed penalty fine, or even being summonsed to court.
Inspector Emma Patterson said: "Driving safely is a responsibility and a requirement, not an option.
"If you are unfit to drive, if your vehicle is unfit to be driven, or you have failed to arrange the proper insurance for your vehicle, our officers will stop you.
"Behaviour like this can be even more dangerous on our faster major roads.
"It’s why we work with partners through the Safer Essex Roads Partnership to bring down offending on our roads, and towards our goal of Vision Zero – no deaths on our roads by the year 2040."
Cops also targeted vehicles linked to criminal activities or those wanted for crimes in Essex.

Among those arrested were four individuals wanted for various offences.
One man was stopped as officers believed he was not wearing a seatbelt - however, officers then discovered that the man had failed to attend a court hearing and arrested him.
Other arrests included a man wanted on suspicion of making threats to kill and committing criminal damage, and a woman wanted in relation to a theft being investigated by the Metropolitan Police.
A stolen vehicle was also recovered after another woman was arrested on suspicion of the theft of the vehicle.
