Police have arrested a man in Collier Row after allegations of a "serious sexual assault" and threats to kill involving a weapon.
Officers were called to a residential address in Hillrise Road this morning (September 3), where a 60-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill, rape, possession of a firearm, and criminal damage.
The Metropolitan Police say he has been taken to an east London police station, where he remains at this time.
The arrest follows allegations of an incident described by the Met as a "serious sexual assault".

The alleged crime took place inside the address and involves people known to each other, a spokesperson said.
A crime scene remains in place while enquiries are carried out.
There is no wider risk to the public, police say.
