A person has been arrested after a pensioner was found with a head injury near a Tesco superstore.
Emergency services were called to Tesco, in Bridge Road, Rainham at around 10.38am on Friday (August 30), following reports that a man had been assaulted.
Metropolitan Police officers and London Ambulance Service attended.
They found a man in his 70’s with a head injury.
He was treated at the scene before being taken to a local hospital where his condition is said to be not life-threatening or life-changing.
One person has been arrested in connection with the investigation, Scotland Yard added.
