A woman has been sexually assaulted at a hotel in Romford which was surrounded by police tape.
Police were called just before 3.30am on Thursday (August 15) to reports of an assault at a hotel in South Street.
Crime scene tape has been pictured outside the Spark by Hilton hotel, which opened earlier this year.
The woman, aged in her 30s, was sexually assaulted by a man known to her - and is now being supported by specialist officers.
There has been no arrest at this stage and enquiries are ongoing.
Police tape was put in place around the entrance of the hotel and the Asda Express underneath.
A spokesperson for the Met Police said: "Police were called at 03:21hrs on Thursday, 15 August to reports of an assault at a hotel in South Street, Romford.
"At this early stage there has been no arrest. Enquiries continue."
A second sexual assault was reported in Romford town centre just a day later.
Police officers received reports of a "serious" sexual assault in Exchange Street, Romford, between 1am and 2am on Friday (August 16).
The Met Police have confirmed there is "no indication" these two assaults are linked.
