TipToe Stage School in Romford perform at Disneyland Paris

TipToe Stage School - with a Romford branch in Pettits Lane - took 40 of its dancers, supported by their families, to entertain audiences in Disney's Magic Kingdom.

The school said it was one of the first ever theatre schools to be invited to Disneyland Paris more than 20 years ago, so to be able to perform there again was "magical".

TipToe co-principal, Elena Carter-Watts, said: "Disney was magical for us as we were one of the first ever UK theatre schools to perform there over 20 years ago, and to be continually invited back highlights the hardworking and committed pupils we have."

The opportunity came after several of its students represented the UK in the 2024 Dance World Cup finals in Prague in July.

Eleven-year-old William Faria, performed two solo pieces, finishing eighth worldwide with his acro and lyrical solos, the dance school said.

A group dance by Reed Cooke, 10, Lillie-Ella Morris, 13, and Mollie Griffin, 12, placed third-best in the world.

Ms Carter-Watts said: "We're just coming down from a very busy few weeks and what an honour for TipToe to represent the country in the World Cup finals against performers from across the globe."

The school’s co-principal also said watching her pupils waving England flags during the opening ceremony parade of the finals was "a real moment for all of us at TipToe".

She said: "We couldn't be prouder of them."

Principal Julie Carter added: "We told them the most important thing was to have fun and enjoy every single moment.

"We are beyond thrilled with everyone's success."
