Changes to rules for motorists using a car park in Romford have been proposed.

Havering Council is looking to make changes to the Market Place car park in the coming weeks.

Under the traffic order amendment proposal, Sunday parking from 6am until 7pm, and Sunday overnight parking from 7pm until 6am on Monday would be impacted.

The changes would introduce a maximum stay of four hours rule, and no return for two hours.

Market Place car park is one of the closest to Romford’s main shopping areas.

It is closed three days a week while the market takes place on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

The consultation period for the proposed traffic order started earlier this month and will end on August 30.

Anyone who wishes to comment on the changes can do so in writing by emailing schemes@havering.gov.uk
