Commuters have been stranded at stations for over 20 minutes after a fire alert.
There is currently no service on the District line between Plaistow and Upminster today (August 9) due to a fire alert at Upney station in Barking.
And as the alert is dealt with, there are severe delays on the rest of the line.
The Circle line also has no service anticlockwise, with minor delays clockwise.
According to a post on the Havering Community Facebook page, trains have been at a standstill, with crowds gathered on the platform for the past 20 minutes.
It’s understood that this has been ongoing since about 5pm. At the time of publication (5.30pm), disruption continues.
The London Fire Brigade were approached for more information.
