Carpetright shops in Rom Valley Way and Gallows Corner, both in Romford, have closed, according to administrator Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC).

PwC added that it was with "deep regret" 1,018 employees have been made redundant.
Zelf Hussain, joint administrator at PwC UK, said: "We know this is an uncertain time for many of those affected and want to thank all the staff for the support they have given the company in these difficult circumstances."
