A care worker faces criminal charges of ill-treating or wilfully neglecting a patient.
Abidemi Onasanwo, 51, of Weston Green in Dagenham, appeared at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court last Wednesday (July 31).
She is accused of ill-treating or wilfully neglecting a female patient at Queen’s Hospital in Romford on September 1 last year.
The case was sent to Snaresbrook Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing later this month.
Onasanwo, who was not employed by the trust which runs Queen's, was granted bail until that hearing.
