Photos show firefighters tackling a field fire in Rainham.

Crews from the London Fire Brigade were called to Frederick Road at 4pm on July 31 after receiving reports of a fire.

Two acres of field were partially damaged by the fire, which took firefighters just less than an hour to get under control. 

Rainham has been plagued by grass fires in recent years, with Launders Lane particularly affected.

Pictures and footage from the scene of the fire show clouds of smoke rising from what appears to be dry grass, with additional images showing an area of the damaged land.

No injuries were reported.
