A man has died inside a Romford shopping centre.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police were called at 12.38pm today (July 29) with reports of a man dead at the Mercury Mall.
Several emergency response vehicles including an ambulance and police cars were captured on video outside the shopping centre.
The London Ambulance Service (LAS) pronounced a man dead at the scene in an area of the shopping centre that is understood not to be open to the public.
A spokesperson for the LAS said: "We were called at 12.15pm today (29 July) to reports of an incident in Mercury Gardens, Romford.
“We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response officer.
“Our first paramedic arrived on scene in five minutes.

“Very sadly, despite our best efforts, a man was pronounced dead at the scene.”
The Metropolitan Police has confirmed it is treating the death as unexplained.
A spokesperson said: "Police were called at 12:38hrs on Monday, 29 July to a report of a man deceased in Mercury Mall, Romford.
"Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service. A man was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The death is being treated as unexplained."
Businesses within the centre have continued operating, the Recorder has been told.
The Mercury Mall has been contacted for comment.
