A residential school house could be turned into an HMO if approved by Havering's planning councillors.
Havering Council received an array of proposals from developers from July 16 to 22 which it will consider at length before approving or refusing.
We have rounded up some of the most notable across the borough for you to see what changes might be coming to places you know well.
Several people want to create Houses of Multiple Occupation (HMO).
One such application (P0943.24) is to change the use of the School House, in Lowen Road, Rainham, from a single residential dwelling into a large HMO of nine units.
The proposal includes a part single, part two storey rear extension.
At 50 to 50A Collier Row Lane, in Romford, the proposal ( P0868.24) is to change the use of upper flat (50A) to an HMO for up to four people including loft conversion, rear dormer and roof lights. The plans include cycle and refuse storage.
Another housing application (P0901.24) is changing the offices at the Exchange House, in St Marys Lane, Upminster, into six flats.
The plans include internal layout amendments and part demolition of the existing extension, erection of a single storey mews building to the rear of the original building comprising landscaping and other associated works.
At 1A The Sheilings, in Hornchurch (P0980.24) the applicant wants to build a front boundary wall.
In Butts Green Road, in Hornchurch (P0987.24) the plan is to demolish the existing building and build a two storey commercial building to house a car showroom on the ground floor and office space on the first floor and mezzanine level with associated landscaping and
parking.
In Roneo Corner, Hornchurch, the applicant (P1022.24) is seeking a retrospective change of use from auto showroom to auto service centre. Too bad if councillors say no.
An applicant in Herbert Road, Hornchurch ( P0996.24), hopes to add a first floor to a bungalow, convert a garage to habitable use, and build a part single, part two storey rear extension with habitable loft space including rear dormers and alterations to fenestration.
In Howards Farm, Tomkyns Lane, Upminster, the application (P0964.24) is for an outbuilding for use as a summer house and gym including the addition of external steps.
Finally over in Westland Avenue, Hornchurch, the applicant has submitted a proposal (P0974.24) to build an attached two-bedroom dwelling with increase of ridge height, habitable loft space including parking and amenities with vehicular crossover.
It also includes the erection of a single storey rear extension to the main property.
Any comments must be received within three weeks of July 23.
