A man was captured on video wielding a large knife outside a park in Bethnal Green.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police were called at around 7pm on July 21 to Middleton Green Park after a man was seen cycling while apparently holding a knife in his right hand.
Footage was shared on social media showing a man wearing a Deliveroo jacket riding near the junction of Old Bethnal Green Road and Canrobert Street.
Gripping what looks like a knife and the right handlebar in one hand, he can be seen beckoning someone to follow him as he crosses the road from the entrance to the park and into Canrobert Street.
When contacted for comment, a Deliveroo spokesperson said: "We have investigated and can confirm the individual in the footage was not riding for Deliveroo."
A Met spokesman said officers were dispatched to the scene but the man had left the area.
