A dog groomers in Hornchurch has been recognised in a competition celebrating the best businesses in Havering.

Paws HQ, in Brentwood Road, has been named as Your Favourite Pet Shop and Pet Groomers for 2024 - as voted for by Romford Recorder readers.

The dog grooming and pet supplies shop was founded in October 2022 and consistently gets five-star reviews from happy customers - and their pooches - on Google.

Lindsey Bucktrout, owner of Paws HQ, said she is "so proud to win this award" and that the pet groomers is "everything I pictured and more".

Paws HQ provides one-to-one care and aims to deliver quality service, "treating all dogs as our own".

This is something Lindsey says they will continue to do, even as they grow.

She said: "We started as we mean to go on, forever evolving - with new team members to sustain the one-to-one service as our clientele grows."

The dog groomers also sells supplies like collars and harnesses, stocking products from smaller, independent brands as part of its mission to support other small businesses.

Part of its work in the local community includes collaborating with Writtle College to provide placements for students, as well as Hornchurch schools who approach it for work experience.

Groomer Molly House said she felt "honoured" for Paws HQ to be recognised in the Your Favourite awards.

She said: "As head groomer it means so much for recognition of the dedication to provide exceptional care and service to every dog that walks through the door."

Paws HQ is hoping to add colour treatments to its grooming services.
