A third child has died in hospital after a fire at a home in East Ham.
The emergency services were called to Napier Road just before 8.30am on Saturday, July 13, with reports of a house fire.
One child was pronounced dead at the scene and another died at hospital overnight on July 13, from injuries sustained in the fire.
The third child was said to be in a critical condition but has since died, police confirmed on Tuesday (July 16).
Det Ch Insp Jonathan Burks, one of the senior officers responsible for policing Newham, said: "It is our incredibly sad duty to report that a third child died in hospital on Monday, 15 July.
"This is news that I know will cause even more upset in what has already been a devastating incident for the local community and beyond.
"Our thoughts are with everyone who has been affected."

Two other people remain in hospital, while a third has been discharged and is being treated as an outpatient.
All six people are believed to be from the same family.
Patrick Goulbourne, assistant commissioner for the London Fire Brigade, said: "This is a terribly sad incident and the thoughts of all of us at London Fire Brigade are with the family, friends and all those affected at this difficult time.
"Staff will be in the local community over the coming days to offer support and advice where needed."
He added that all fire brigade staff involved will be offered counselling and trauma service.
Around 40 firefighters from six fire engines were sent to the scene on Saturday, as well as teams from the London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance.
The blaze damaged the ground floor and half the first floor of the terraced house.
Firefighters were called to the scene at 8.27am and the fire was under control by 9.09am.
The Met Police have now launched an investigation into the cause of the fire but say there is no evidence to indicate suspicious circumstances.
Officers are also working to identify and inform other family members.
These family members will be supported by specially trained police officers.
Police ask anyone with information that may help the investigation to call 101 and quote reference 1996/13jul.
