Wireless Festival will be ending hours earlier at Finsbury Park due to the Euros final.

England are set to take on Spain at 8pm on Sunday (July 14), with much of the nation now clearing their diaries for the evening to watch the European Championship 2024 final.

And while festival goers were looking forward to seeing musicians such as headliner Doja Cat on stage on the final day of the three-day event, it seems that Wireless has decided to pull the plug early.

Ticket holders have been informed that Wireless will now end at 7pm on the Sunday, with two acts earlier in the day no longer performing.

The other two nights of the weekend have not changed. Nicki Minaj will still finish her set at 10.20pm tonight (Friday, July 12), and 21 Savage will finish his Saturday (July 13) set at 10.15pm.

In a message shared on Instagram, Wireless said: “Rockstar Energy Presents Wireless will now finish at 7pm on Sunday 14 July to give you plenty of time to travel home to watch the Euro final England vs Spain match.

“The festival is going ahead as planned on Sunday and Doja Cat will perform a full headline set.”

Two acts, Tyla and Digga D, who were set to perform on Sunday are no longer doing so.

Many people are outraged, declaring refunds should be issued and describing it as “ludicrous” that the day is ending early.

One person said: “This is mad. A festival finishing at 7pm? The big screen would have been so good, can’t understand it.”

Another said: “What does football have to do with a music festival? They are two different cultures. Believe it or not, but some people are not interested in a football being kicked about religiously."

A five year contract was signed with Haringey Council last year to continue holding Wireless  in Finsbury Park every summer until at least 2027.
