A boxing star from Romford is set to host a meet and greet event at the Brewery Shopping Centre this July.

Johnny Fisher - fondly nicknamed The Romford Bull - will be meeting with fans on July 20 at the shopping centre, alongside his dad Big John.

Johnny was born and raised in Romford, attending Marshalls Park Academy before making his debut in professional boxing in 2021.

His impressive career has led him to fights across the globe, challenging opponents in venues like Wembley Arena, The O2 Arena, and The Chelsea Ballroom in Las Vegas.

He most recently headlined at the Copper Box Arena in Stratford on July 6, with a round one knockout victory against Croatian boxer Alen Babic.

Johnny and Big John have gained fans beyond boxing circles, growing a big social media following, making funny videos, and popularising the catchphrase "Bosh".

The meet and greet will be held at the Brewery Building, Level 1, from 1pm until 3pm on July 20, giving fans an opportunity to say hi, snap a selfie, and even get an autograph.

The event is free to attend, with no need to pre-book, and official merchandise will be available on the day.

Stuart Wilson, centre manager at The Brewery, said: "We're so thrilled to be welcoming Johnny to the centre – he is an inspiring man and a really important role model for young people within Romford.

"I'm so glad he is getting the recognition he so deserves, and Big John is terrific and a social media sensation too - our shoppers are so lucky to get to meet them in the flesh.

"It's sure to be a knockout event so get the date in your diary and don't forget your camera."

Johnny, who fights in the heavyweight division, has amassed more than 250,000 followers on TikTok.

He is now unbeaten in his 12 fights at professional level and fought on the same card as former world champion Anthony Joshua at the O2 Arena last year.
