Plans to convert drab hoardings into digital displays are among plans submitted in Havering this week.

Havering Council received an array of proposals from developers from June 18 to 24 which it will consider at length before approving or refusing.

We have rounded up some of the most notable across the borough for you to see what changes might be coming to places you know well.

From building homes to modifying a car sales space, here are a few applications we've highlighted across Havering.

In Hornchurch Road, in Hornchurch, there is a plan (A0022.24) to turn a 48-sheet hoarding into an internally illuminated digital display. 

Also in Hornchurch is a proposal( P0800.24) to convert the of first and second floor of an office into to a three-bed flat in the High Street.

Plans have been submitted (P0850.24) to convert a garage to single storey habitable room with a front extension and front alterations in Ardleigh Close.

Over in Berkeley Drive (P0854.24) there are plans for a single rear extension and turning their garage into a habitable space. 

At the Moorings Garage, in Southend Arterial Road, in Hornchurch, there is a retrospective application (P0760.24) for a new steel enclosed structure that is used for on site car repair.

There is a reduction of car sale space from 84 to 73 but the existing use of the car wash and car sales office are being kept in use. 

In Victoria Road, Romford, the applicant plans to change a retail unit into five flats (J0015.24).

On the site next door there is a plan overseen by a different agent (P0808.24) to build external cycle and waste storage provision.

Testing the water in Fontayne Avenue, Romford, is a request for 'permission in principle' (PIP0001.24) to construct a new two bedroom house.

More acoustic fencing is needed (P0812.24) around an emergency generator at St George's Hospital, in Sutton Lane.  

In Avon Road, Upminster, is a proposal (P0855.24)  to extend the use of a retail unit as a scooter sales room, (under approved planning application P0782.23) for a further three years from July 20 2024 to July 20 2027.

There is a proposal (P0817.24) to demolish an existing rear extension and outbuilding to build a two storey two bedroom terraced house in Upminster Road, North Rainham.

This application involves a two side extension and a part single, part two storey rear extension to an existing house. 

At Badon Court, in Avelon Road, Romford there is a plan (P0857.24) to demolish structures at the back of the site and build a new single storey one bedroom property with refuse and cycle storage and associated amenity space, for example a patio, and landscaping.
