Photos have emerged of police tending to a man after two men were injured in a reported armed gang attack.
Police were called to High Street, Hornchurch at 5.51am today (June 28), Scotland Yard said.
An armed group of males had reportedly been seen, prompting officers to rush to the high street.
Two men were found with head and face injuries a short time later and a cordon was put in place.
We contacted the London Ambulance Service and a spokesperson said they did not attend the incident. The photos show officers treating a man who appears to be hurt.
This was on the A124 High Street in Hornchurch which has been shut both ways between Billet Lane and North Street, according to the AA.
Bus diversions have been in place for the 165, 293, 248 and 372.
The Metropolitan Police says there have been no arrests.
A crime scene is in place and enquiries are ongoing.
